A las seis y media de la mañana del día 21 de Marzo de 2015, todos los niños que íbamos a Gandía estábamos esperando al bus en la puerta del colegio. Cuando el bus llegó, con un poco de retraso, tuvimos un problema. ¡Todas las maletas no cabían en el maletero! A presión, el conductor metió las maletas en algunos asientos libres, pero como las maletas también iban en los asientos, no había suficientes sitios para nosotros. Al final, un poco justos, todos cupimos en el autobús. En este bus ya fue cuando nos conocimos unos a otros con los chicos y chicas del Villa cruz, un colegio de Zaragoza.
• The way
The 21st of March 2015, at half past six a.m, all the children were waiting for the bus in the door of our school. The bus arrived a bit late, and when we were going to go into the bus, we had a problem. The cases didn´t fit in the car boot! With a lot of pressure, the bus driver putt he cases in some of the free sits, but then, there wasn´t enough sits for us. At the end, we were all a bit cramped, but we were all in the bus. In this bus, we started to know each other with the gilrs and boys from Villa Cruz, a school from Zaragoza.
• Lugar
• The place
El lugar a donde fuimos era un monasterio de Gandía, llamado la Casa de la Espiritualidad. En el rato de los descansos teníamos bastante espacio para poder jugar y sentarnos donde quisiéramos, pero al llover casi todos los días y no haber un espacio de porche, las habitaciones y las clases cuando volvíamos del patio, estaban todas llenas de barro.
We were in a monastery in Gandía, called The Spirituality´s House. In the breaks we had a lot of space to play and sit where we wanted, but it was raining all days and it wasn´t a porch, so the classes and the rooms when we leave the playground were full of mud.
Las habitaciones eran bastante grandes. Tenían dos camas y un baño individual para cada habitación. Tenían un armario grande pegado a la pared y una mesilla de noche en medio de las dos camas. El baño era grande, con una ducha pegada a una de las esquinas. En mi habitación, estábamos Pilar y yo.
The romos were very big. There were two beds and a bath for each bedroom. There was a wardrobe near the wall and a bedside table between the two beds. The bath was big, with a shower in one of the corners. In my bedroom, I was with Pilar.
Las clases eran muy grandes y espaciosas. En mi clase estábamos 14 personas, y por lo tanto, sobraban muchas sillas. Había una pizarra de tiza, y un proyector para ver vídeos y películas.
The clases were big and with a lot of space. In my class we were fourteen, so a lot of chairs were empty. There was a a chalk´s blackboard and a projector to see videos and films.
• Actividades de clase y deportes
• Activities and sport.
En clase hacíamos muchas actividades diferentes. Un día hablamos de los móviles, de diferente vocabulario y diferentes aspectos que no conocíamos en inglés. Otro día hablamos del Facebook, de todas las ventajas y desventajas de las cosas que podíamos hacer dentro de este y de las consecuencias que pueden tener distintas cosas que hacemos, como por ejemplo subir fotos.
In class we did a lot of different activities. One day we talked about phones, the vocabulary about it and differents things we didn´t know in English. Other day we spoke about facebook, the advantages and disadvantages of things we could do in facebook and the aftermaths that some things we do can cause, for example, upload photos.
En el tema de los deportes, hicimos varios. El que más éxito tuvo fue el Pichi. El Pichi es una mezcla de Béisbol y fútbol. Los de nuestro colegio, ya habíamos jugado varias veces, pues nuestras tardes de después del comedor, consistían en jugar a este juego.
About sport, we did some. The most successful was “Pichi”. Pichi is a mix of baseball and football. The people from our school have already played, because our afternoons in the dining room, consisted in this game.

Había diferentes equipos, los cuales fueron establecidos así por niveles. Eran 5 equipos:
1. Soles
2. Estrellas
3. Planetas
4. Fuego
5. Lunas
There were some teams, it depended on your level. There were five teams:
1. Suns
2. Stars
3. Planets
4. Fire
5. Moons
Yo estaba en el equipo de los soles. El primer día, todos estábamos un poco cortados, pues solos conocíamos a la gente de nuestro colegio o a los que habíamos conocido en el bus. En mi caso conocía a Pablo, María Pilar, Laura y Alex, a estos dos últimos los conocí en el bus. Teníamos nuestro propio grito de guerra:
-“Somos energía, somos soles.
”
I was in the `Suns´ Team. The first day, we were all a bit shy, because we only knew the people from our school, or the people we knew in the bus. In my case, I knew Pablo, María Pilar, Laura and Alex, I met Laura and Alex in the bus. We had our own shout:
-“We are energy, we are suns.”
• Noches
• The nights
Cada noche hacíamos algo diferente. Por ejemplo la segunda noche hicimos un intento de karaoke, porque todos estábamos más centrados en cómo iba el partido “Barça-Madrid” que en ver cantar a los demás.
We did something different in each night. For example, the second night we did an attempt of Karaoke, because we all were thinking about the match “Barça-Madrid” instead of seeing the people sing.
En el tema del fútbol estábamos todos un poco repartidos. Más de la mitad de la gente eran del Madrid o del Barça. Otros ya eran de equipos diferentes como el Betis o la Real Sociedad. Ese día solo se oían gritos por el monasterio animando al Barça o al Madrid, y camisetas de diferentes colores se veían por ahí.
About football, we were a bit separated. Most of the people liked Barça or Madrid. The other liked teams like Betis or Real Sociedad. This day, we heard a lot of people shouting encouraging Barça or Madrid, and a lot of people were wearing different football t-shirts.
• Mi experiencia
• My experience
La verdad que yo me imaginaba esta excursión mucho peor de lo que ha sido. Todos los que hemos ido nos lo hemos pasado genial, y siempre nos estábamos riendo. Nunca pensé que conocería a tanta gente como he conocido esta semana. He hecho amigos que siempre recordaré. Me llevo muchas cosas de este viaje, pero me quedo con la buena experiencia que he pasado con mi profesor y mis compañeros en las clases y todas las amistades que me llevo. Yo creo que, si nos dieran la oportunidad, todos repetiríamos.
I thought that is was going to be very bad. We all had a great time, and we were always laughing. I have never think I was going to meet a lot of people like I met this week. I have done friends I am always going to remember. I leave this travel with a lot of things, but my favourite thing is the good experience I had with my teacher Ross and my partners in the classes, and with some good friends I have met. I think that, if we were told to go again, we all would repeat.
