Alagón, our village.

Alagón is a village located in the province of Zaragoza, Aragón.

This village isn’t very big, but it isn’t small. It has about 8000 habitants of which we can see that there are people of all nationalities and ages.

In Alagon we can find two schools , one of them is Nuestra Señora Del Castillo school in which we study  and the other one is the public school. In our school there is a creche, and we can study at the primary education and at the secondary education. It’s a catholic school.

We can also see buildings such as public swimming pools, a sports center, a pavilion for occasions like celebrations and parties, an auditorium, two skate parks... But one of the main attractions is the Casa de Cultura. It is a building in which we can lear how to dance traditional dances like Jota, we can learn music, how to play instruments and it’s a museum too.

There are also 3 churches and a main square , Plaza Mayor, which is the meeting place for children, young people and adults. There are bars and the village hall is in Plaza Mayor .

Finally, Alagon’s festivals. We have two important festivals in wich we celebrate the saints of La Virgen del Castillo and of San Antonio. They are celebrated in June and September, at the beginning and at the end of the summer and holidays. They last for 4 or 5 days and they are dates for going out with family and friends, partying and meeting with everyone to have a good time all together.

So that’s all, a bit description of our village, I hope you liked it!
